Privacy Policy

Prepo AI (the "App") is operated by Astrid Genesis LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company organized in the United States. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, and — if you use Sign in with Apple — the name and email (or private relay address) Apple chooses to share. Authentication is handled by our provider Clerk; we do not store your password.
- Content you give us. Meals you log, photos you scan, recipes you save or import, links you share into the App, weight entries, workouts, and the nutrition goals and profile details (such as age, height, weight, activity level and goal) you enter during onboarding.
- Purchase information. If you buy a subscription, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive a transaction receipt and subscription status through our provider RevenueCat. We never receive your card number.
- Basic technical information. Device type, operating system version, app version, and error logs needed to keep the App running.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking in the App.
2. Health-related information
The nutrition, weight and exercise data you enter is health-related information. We treat it as sensitive: it is stored under your account only, protected by row-level security so that no other user can read it, and it is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the App: saving your meals, recipes, goals and progress, and syncing them across your devices.
- To generate AI estimates: when you scan a meal or import a recipe, the photo or page content is sent to Google's Gemini API through our server so it can be analyzed and returned as nutrition data.
- To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To respond to you when you contact support.
We do not use your content to train our own machine learning models.
4. Service providers
We share information only with the vendors needed to run the App, each acting on our instructions:
- Clerk — account creation and sign-in.
- Supabase — database hosting and server functions for your app data.
- Google (Gemini API) — analyzing meal photos and recipe content to produce nutrition estimates.
- RevenueCat, with Apple and Google — subscription management and payment processing.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. If Astrid Genesis LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred; we will notify you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Meal photos
Photos you scan are sent for analysis and are used to produce the nutrition estimate you see. Photos attached to a saved meal or recipe stay in your account until you delete that item. Deleting the item deletes the photo.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings → Account in the App, or by emailing us at northtexaslimo1@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your meals, recipes, photos, goals and progress from our systems. Backups are purged on a rolling basis, ordinarily within 30 days. We may retain limited records where the law requires it.
Recipes imported from public sources (for example recipe blogs or social posts) are also stored in an anonymized recipe dataset. Those records contain only what the source itself published — the recipe content and its origin URL — and never your account identifier or any information about who imported it. Because they contain no personal information and are not linked to you, they are retained after account deletion.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights — note again that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email northtexaslimo1@gmail.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law requires.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest by our hosting providers. Access to your data is scoped to your account at the database level. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. International users
We operate in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Not medical advice
Prepo AI provides estimates for general informational purposes. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice. AI-generated calorie and macro figures are approximations and can be wrong. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet or health.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
